Spec film · Hotel du VillageFor wedding venues · Made from photos2026

Your venue, in motion.

A film of a wedding at your venue, made from the photos you already have: your real rooms and gardens, new people in every scene, no shoot day. This one is a spec film we made for Hotel du Village, on our own.

A spec film

We made this film for Hotel du Village on our own. Nobody asked us to.

We wanted to show what a venue film can be when it's made from photos instead of a shoot day. So we started from the photos the venue shares on its website and public listings, rebuilt every scene with new people in it, and wrote the story from what the venue says about itself. Hotel du Village and Landmark didn't commission this film and haven't endorsed it.

The idea

Give it a whole weekend.

Most venue films walk you through the rooms. This one walks a wedding weekend through them: arriving, getting ready, the ceremony, dinner, the dancing, a late night by the fire and breakfast with everyone still there. It comes from the one thing this venue has that most don't: guest rooms on the estate.

The script

Ten lines, one weekend.

Written from what the venue says about itself: the 12 acres, the château, the two ballrooms, the guest rooms. Pick a line to watch the film from there.

Real places, new people

The rooms are real. The people are new.

Every place in this film is a real place on the estate, rebuilt from a photo of it, and it stays as it is: the doors, the windows, the paths, the view. What changes is the light, the décor and everyone in the frame, and some shots move the camera to an angle the photo never had.

Why change the people? A venue's photographer may have cleared their photos for marketing, but the couples and guests in them said yes to photos of their wedding, not to starring in an ad. So nobody from a real wedding is in this film. Every face in it is new.

How it's made

From photos to film.

Five steps, the same for every venue. Where this spec film differs from a film for you, we say so.

  1. 01

    Gather the photos

For Hotel du Village, the photos the venue shares on its website and public listings. For your film, we start from yours: every space you want couples to see.

  2. 02

    Rebuild every scene

We keep each place where it is and redraw the rest: the light we want, new people, and where it helps, a new camera angle. One wedding photo can become several new shots of the same room.

  3. 03

    You check every frame

Before anything moves, you see each new frame beside your photos and tell us what's off: a door, a window, a path, décor you don't offer. We fix it or cut it. A spec film skips this step; yours won't.

  4. 04

    Bring it to life

Each frame becomes a few seconds of moving film: petals in the air, candles flickering, a slow walk down the aisle. We make several takes of every shot and keep the best. This film's 39 shots were picked from 69 finished takes.

  5. 05

Write it, score it, finish it

A script built from what you say about yourselves, a voiceover (an AI voice here), a custom score written for your film alone, and an edit color-matched in DaVinci Resolve so every shot feels like the same weekend.

For your venue

What we'd need. What you'd get.

From you

Your photos
Every space you'd like in the film, inside and out. Phone photos you take yourself are perfect: empty rooms help most, and more angles make a truer film. We can also come and film your spaces ourselves.
A walk-through
A slow phone video through each space, or a floor plan, so every door and path lands where it really is.
Your story
What couples love about the place, and what makes it yours.
Must-haves
What has to be in the film, and anything that should stay out.
Your logo
And your colors and fonts, if you have them.
Two rounds of notes
A short call to start, then your notes on the frames and on the first cut.

For you

The film
60 to 90 seconds, widescreen, for your website, YouTube and your venue listings.
A vertical version
The same film, sized for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories.
Short clips
15-second moments for ads and posts: the ceremony, the toast, the last dance.
A website loop
A few silent seconds for the top of your homepage.
New stills
Frames from the film to use as photos: new angles of your spaces, with no real guests in them.
A custom score and voiceover
Music written for your film alone, and a voice reading a script written for your venue and approved by you.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Will it look like our venue?

It has to. Every scene starts from a real photo of your space, you check every frame before it moves, and anything that isn't true gets fixed or cut. We change the light, the season, the décor and the people. The place stays yours.

Who are the people in it?

Nobody real. Every person is made new for the film, so no past couple or guest ends up in your ad without saying yes.

Should we say it's made with AI?

We'd recommend it. Couples appreciate knowing, and Instagram, TikTok and YouTube ask for realistic AI video to be labeled when you post it. A small line at the end of the film does it.

How long does it take?

About a week from the day we have your photos, with the frames for you to check partway through.

Where can we use it?

Anywhere you market the venue: your website, social media, ads, your listings, wedding shows. Once it's paid for, it's yours to use.

Did Hotel du Village ask for this film?

No. It's a spec film: we made it on our own to show what's possible. Hotel du Village and Landmark didn't commission it and haven't endorsed it. If you're with either and would like it changed or taken down, write to us and we will.

Let's make yours.
