Nine street artists paint the lobby of Maven, RXR's new tower in Mott Haven, and the film introduces the building through them.

The ask
Maven is RXR's new rental tower in Mott Haven, in the South Bronx. Before it opened, RXR brought nine artists, from the Bronx and from around the world, to paint its lobby on site, and brought us in to film it. The film had to introduce the building through them.
The approach
We filmed the artists at work in the lobby under plastic: stencils cut by hand, paste-ups, spray cans by the crate. Then we sat the artists down to talk, and went out into the neighborhood around the building.
The result
A three-minute film that opens Maven through its art: over twenty pieces, including a 19-foot collaboration piece that combines the work of every artist.
